Memories of Cruz St. John USV!

For several days we sailed throught the Virgin Islands on the Rebel Jogger, a forty-foot ocean sailing sailboat. I became part of the crew that cruised it from Halifax, Nova Scotia, to Tortola. It got on my method to Barbados.

We strolled the capital of St. John one lazy night.. It was full of older hippies hanging around in the vivid Caribbean bars where food and alcohol flowed easily with gossip and instant fiendship.

We finished the night  at Woodys Bar and Sea Gill. Woody received us with a brilliant smile and jolly attitude. He was a lot like Woody from the TV show Cheers as he tossed his bottles in the air grabbing many on the fly, pouring cocktails and blends with amazing speed and flair. A parrot sat on the shoulder of the girl beside me. She borrowed it from a tattoo hippy with a crinkled face, smoking like a chimney.

"She was Tanned as well as wrinkled, we never knew her name, yet white and tanned and also wrinkled, was trying to find a video game. We saw her at bench at Woodys as well as used her a drink. She slight, well-tanned, as well as fun. She got to be rather pretty as Woody poured his double rum.

"We left her there that evening, a sad and lonely woman looking a lot older than her worried thirty hears. She put on the marks of problem on her face and also in her mind, but she was worthy of far better, for she was authentic and also kind."
